The tip you posted is for increasing your chances of GETTING and interview. This is different from tips for BEING in an interview.

It is extremely difficult get a decent job these days. My advice to people when job hunting is to focus on getting the interview. Once you get the interview, then you shift your focus to getting the job. I don’t think people realize how hard it is just to land the interview.

Now if you have landed an interview, the number one tip I can give, although generic, is to have extreme confidence. Like however confident you are, double that shyt. You walk in that bytch with the mindframe of the interview being a formality cause you know you got that shyt. Confidence is something that people can sense in you, lack of confidence as well. You can make some people uncomfortable with your confidence, which brings me to my nex tip.

Don’t ever be uncomfortable or nervous in an interview. They called you, you ain’t call them. I make it a point to ask some questions that are so left field or tough for them to answer, that the interviewer becomes uncomfortable. Like nikka you will be nervous in this bytch, I’m not nervous.

It’s infinite tips I can give but this will be my last one. If you don’t have options, make it seem like you do. Please do not go in an interview acting desperate for the job, even though that may reall be your situation. It’s a turn off to the employer. Plus everyone wants someone with options. The job I have now, I told them nikkas I had 2 offers on the table so I would need to know something from them within one week. Them fools called me like 3 days later saying they have a pretty good offer for me. The recruiter told me that they upped the offer cause I had other offers. nikka I had zero other offers. Its a game out here
number one tip when landing an interview- always show up early..

but, great points.. :salute:

I took that confidence tip to the next level on my last interview.. when asked where do I see myself in the future I straight up said "no offense but I see myself in your position" then I throw in the of course if you leave or get promoted after a mini pause

This is confusing cause I got friends who are well established in their careers and they tell me one page resumes are outdated!

Especially if you have work experience
Your whole history needs to be better summarized or it can't all be relevant to your current search. People should have different resumes tailored to different professions/positions. There is no way something you did 10 years ago is going to be relevant to what your applying for today. In most cases...

That's pure bullshyt, especially if the experience 10 years ago is relevant to the current job you are trying to get.

A great record 10 years ago in a sales position holds weight for anther sales position 10 years later

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
There's NO security in having a Boss

me and my bro @CorporateTrapper living that self employed life

Much success to you brother but without workers there is no boss plus you can’t compare “careers” to “jobs”

As long as someone is happy I think getting a career is boss moves especially with cost of living in America reaching!

I think it's how the information is presented. If you are working in sales, the most recent job should be more detailed but the job ten years ago needs to be highlighted and less detailed. To his point they should also look different based on the job to some degree.

It differs depending on the industry. But if you left an industry 10 years ago that prior experience may or may not be relevant. For most people that job hop between industries it isn't. Again depending on the industry which is what I was referring to.:manny:

That’s not true. It’s all about building. I just started a new job after being at one for 8 years. I had a job for 5 years before that as a restaurant general manager. That helped me get this position
