Get shot and make sure a camera crew is there then go to the studio and make a song with the bullet still in you once the streets get wind of this you will have them on lock.

Go to the strip club, throw as much money as possible and make a song about it. That will also get you noticed.

Be prepared to pay DJ's to play your music in the clubs,

If you got a little time to spare going to jail for a minute could also be a good look,

Dont worry about your craft at all dont write anything just go in the booth and say the first thing that comes to mind.

Go to a professional studio no home studios we off that.

:troll:

believe in yourself and be prepared to grind. Remember, there is atleast 100,000 aspiring rappers you have to set yourself apart from the pack (Trinidad James aint as dumb as he appears). If you getting a full 8 hours sleep every night and you trying to get on then you not hustling hard enough.

Network network NETWORK. If you got a little money hit the road go to events in other cities and plant some seeds G. It's a few conventions coming up this summer if you can get a package together to present get on the road with it.

Use the internet. A lot of people think it's just the streets but the internet is a huge tool in a lot of new rappers success.

Thats just a couple of pointers. It's a long road and you gone have some sleepless nights but anything in life you want you gotta work for homie. Good luck.

1) If you have a job, keep it. If you don't have one, get one. You will need a steady source of income because you're essentially investing in yourself.

2) Go to shows/events and network. Talk to people. Build relationships face to face with other people that have the same/similar goals. As well as people who can help your career.

3) Look into music licensing.

4) Don't come to TLR asking for advice about this subject. There are some cats that are involved in the industry, but you're mostly gonna get bullshyt responses. So find some forums that are completely geared towards what you want to accomplish.

Work with a legendary HIPHOP producer who has produced for Biggie & Tupac then put it on DATPIFF and give it away for free cuz ppl never heard of you and won't spend money on your shyt. I did it with Easy Mo Bee and now will be headed out west next month to work with another legendary producer from Compton (not Dre).

Energy, write whatever you want idk I've always had a thing for poetry and rap. I grew up on old school hiphop too. I always listen to Rakim, EPMD, Sugar Hill Gang, Run DMC, Grandmaster flash and the furious five. Etc

Here's a tip: don't rap like those legends in 2013, you'll NEVER sell a fukking record, ringtone, MP3, nothing.

You better go listen to Future's wack ass and copy what he's doing.
