I don't know if the OP is a troll so this advice is for anyone reading it.

1. For those of you who don't have the patience to read a book, start by reading an article everyday and gradually increase the number of articles you read daily until you can sit down long enough to read a few chapters out of a book.

What articles should you read? Naturally, different industries will have different terminologies so first decide what area you want focus your energy on. What area would you like to be active in?

For example: If I know I want to be a doctor then, I should focus on reading medical related articles because the terminology and colloquialisms (slang) used in those industries would be different than someone who is interested in finance.

2. If you just want to improve your overall conversation then read well written articles that discuss everyday issues.

3. Write down vocabulary words. Everytime you hear a word you are not familiar with (even if you hear it on TV), write the word down, then look up the definition.

Read. Explore! Look up every word in the dictionary even if you think you know what it means. Understand etmylogy and patterns of language. Don't confine yourself to just English, learn things about other languages.

Not just the languages themselves but the understanding of the speakers.

Think of language as computer code for the human mind. Spells, incantations, expressions of silent meanings and core vibrations.

Play Skyrim and take in his 'Shouts' or the idea behind the language of dragons. The idea is when a dragon breathes fire, he's speaking a "shout". That's a deeper understanding of language and WHY you want to get your vocabulary up.

look up complete meanings of words. Find the meanings on dictionaries, Google etc for example the word mountain may mean something to you but to someone else they know so much more about what a mountain is. how long it takes to climb it, vegetations, animals and what ever else life it sustains.

I'm not even touching on the metaphors that can be formed from it. she asked me who I was and I told her im a mountain
