Black parents aren’t as big on letting their children become trans, gay marriage,
Social conservatism doesn’t just mean restrictions on LGBTQ. That’s the republican class warfare babble

black people will never be for restricting civil rights & abortion rights, school vouchers Sunday blue laws, restricting of teaching about slavery in public schools

The 718
CNN has it projected at 216 DEM / 219 REP :ehh:. Which aint bad at all, considering all the naysayers each party contains. Very weak "majority" if these numbers hold.
Yeah I feel like the Dems in Congress stay on code while GOP has enough anti-MAGA folks to keep things balanced

I think most people get more socially conservative as you get older, especially when you have children, but the white men realize being Conservative is more beneficial to them, and when people are blatantly saying white men are the problem (which is true), it’s not in their best interest to say, “Yeah we are.”
After living life up until this point, I'm more liberal than my youth.

You have to wonder now how Republicans will react to his "announcement" next week that he's running in 2024.

I'd imagine the party leaders will probably prefer DeSantis but they'll be scared to upset MAGA voters. Hopefully they all ruin each other. :skip:
Conservative subreddit is pissed at trump for going at Desantis I think trump is done. The craziest part is out of all the insane shyt trump did, his base is giving up on him for going at Desantis. It’s fools in there talkin about “Trump has said lots of crazy things, but I can’t go for this” :skip:

I would love for that orange b*stard to leave GOP and go independent or form his own party, this will cause division within GOP and chaos will unfold

The most eye-popping outcome – and one that demonstrates the breadth of DeSantis’ appeal in the eyes of Sunshine State voters – came in Miami-Dade County, which is heavily Hispanic and historically a huge source of Democratic votes.
Republicans had made gains there in recent years: Hillary Clinton defeated former President Trump there by 29 percentage points in 2016. DeSantis did slightly better in the 2018 governor’s race, losing the county by 21 points. Trump made inroads there in 2020, losing by just 8 points. But a GOP candidate for governor hadn’t actually won Miami-Dade County since Jeb Bush in 2002.

The political reality is straightforward: Democrats have no realistic path to victory in statewide races in Florida without big wins in Miami-Dade County. That reality makes county’s outcome into an exclamation point on a dominant GOP performance.

DeSantis’ win comes as a battle over the future of the Republican Party takes shape, with Trump signaling a potential 2024 announcement next week. Exit polls in Florida showed that 45% of the state’s voters would like to see DeSantis run for president, compared to 33% who want Trump to run in 2024.

The above was taken from CNN, maybe those Cubans who are loudly anti-democrat weren't voting in huge numbers like that until recently or the ones who have been voting were always democrat and for whatever reason didn't vote or switched to republican. The underlined in your quote though is still true, but I guess the question was, outside of their racism and verbal opinions on politics how many actually hit the polls?
The hard right Cuban vote in Miami was always there, they vote in every single election

Miami was a safe Dem lock due to a diverse electorate: Young Cubans and other young Hispanics were growing tired of the same old talk and favored opening to Cuba. Even the Black vote was diverse but heavily favored Dems: Haitians, Jamaicans, and Americans. Obama won twice here by appealing to that electorate, energizing turnout and diluting the Cuban vote.

Since then? Repugs have increased voter registration, crushing Dems and effectively branding them as communists and socialists. No faster road to electoral death in Florida than being tagged as that. Reps went hard at all the new Hispanic citizens from Nicaragua, Venezuela, and Colombia in Miami. Orlando Puerto Ricans got a tailored evangelical message just for them. The Florida Dem party paid no mind to Spanish media and viral messages. They took the electorate for granted and have no one to blame but themselves.

My mom lives in Broward, one of the most Dem counties in FL. She got 2 visits from Rep canvassers, 0 from Dems. Reps put in the work while Dems ran that useless dinosaur Crist and didn't bother to turn out the vote. They got what they deserved and now we will all pay the price.

Seems like the younger gen are motivated. Everyone can see where the MAGA movement is trying to move America into.

1950s aint it.

Hopefully this trend continues. Big changes can happen if the you demo votes. Too many of us 30+ believing conspiracy theorists and charlatans telling us not to vote, or voting against our best interests
