Big Gretch…

So what's the word on the House...how many seats are the GOP going to win by?
Dems have really toned down and damn near dropped their immigration messagingNot a whole lot. Not the blowout they expected. Maybe 5-10. Extraordinary for a sitting President. Huge moment of reflection for the Donald Trump GOP. I think today they finally realized taking marching orders from an idiot is, you know, iodtic.
And Democrats are certainly reflecting on their misconceptions of the Latin community. No more Latinx. Probably no more "omg look at how these people are treating Latino immigrants" pandering. They bullshytted in Florida and Nevada while it was young folks and black folks that propelled them to upset after upset. Time to really engage communities and do real work with communities.
The hard right Cuban vote in Miami was always there, they vote in every single election
Miami was a safe Dem lock due to a diverse electorate: Young Cubans and other young Hispanics were growing tired of the same old talk and favored opening to Cuba. Even the Black vote was diverse but heavily favored Dems: Haitians, Jamaicans, and Americans. Obama won twice here by appealing to that electorate, energizing turnout and diluting the Cuban vote.
Since then? Repugs have increased voter registration, crushing Dems and effectively branding them as communists and socialists. No faster road to electoral death in Florida than being tagged as that. Reps went hard at all the new Hispanic citizens from Nicaragua, Venezuela, and Colombia in Miami. Orlando Puerto Ricans got a tailored evangelical message just for them. The Florida Dem party paid no mind to Spanish media and viral messages. They took the electorate for granted and have no one to blame but themselves.
My mom lives in Broward, one of the most Dem counties in FL. She got 2 visits from Rep canvassers, 0 from Dems. Reps put in the work while Dems ran that useless dinosaur Crist and didn't bother to turn out the vote. They got what they deserved and now we will all pay the price.
jesus, lol well like someone said, miami is more than just "cubans" dems just wow, I didn't check but was it a large margin rubio won?46% voter turnout for Miami-Dade this too, the ones who did vote, voted Republican. The hard right Cuban vote in Miami was always there, they vote in every single election
