kyrie is the most overrated player of his generation.
Best post in the thread.Yall reacting like he said Bob Sura
His ability to manipulate the ball isn’t that far off from Ky’s
But Ky has that god level handle + elite quickness and elite finishing so he’s able to chain shyt together that others simply cannot . ..but it’s not all just handle .
Also we do have to factor in the relaxing of carrying and traveling rules .
Kyrie is best imo but it’s goofy to act like it’s sacrilegious to name others who have a claim
The 206 >>>NY/NJ handles >>>>>>
Kyrie's handle & ability to finish in traffic always reminded me of KJ from the Suns. Kyrie's handle is a little better but KJ was more explosive in his prime finishing above the rim in traffic
Kyrie does palming and carrying. you take away the laxness in rules and KJ is just as good or slightly less than KyrieI liked KJ back then. I recall his game. His handles were nice. The gap between his handles and Kyrie is not “a little”.
I watched KJ real time through the NBA & yes it is lol. Watch the clips to refresh your memory lolI liked KJ back then. I recall his game. His handles were nice. The gap between his handles and Kyrie is not “a little”.
This not true. He just don't dikkride every current player and actually know bout the history and past players unlike most fans that talk hoops online these days. Also there been a decline in the elite level top 5, 10 level players compared to his time so there ain't as much players to praise especially Americans TMac era at that level of player was better. Much better.
TMac era the top American hoopers was Shaq, Duncan, Kobe, KG, AI, TMac, Pierce, JKidd, VC, Ray, young Bron and DWade.
In 2020s its Tatum, Hali, Ant, Ja, Brunson, DMitch, Jaylen, Booker, Cade, Trae, LaMelo.... Then ya get to nikkas like JDubb, Mobley, JJJ, Amengood players but nah
Ray in Milwaukee and Seattle arguably better than any 2020s era American player besides JT and he probabl wasn't even a top 10 American in TMac era. Still got 2010s nikkas like Bron, Steph, KD, Kawhi, Harden makin All NBA teams the last couple seasons past they prime deep into they 30s. Older players def peep the decline in American superstar level play so there ain't as much to praise.
Mel doesn't
With that said. Curry/PG13 have equal handles to Kyrie
