strike one NXT strike two will be TNA:mjlol:

wonder what strike 3 will be
AEW beat the third brand of WWE when they were still figuring shyt out. Now things are better and they have more talent; fukkin wild how they want to do this.

Maybe it’s to put the dagger in TNA and finally buy it for a cheap price? :jbhmm:

They'll try to spin anything as a win. They don't understand demographics, they don't understand advertising or streaming etc... They prove that every week.

I don't even like talking about any of that but it's hilarious to me how little some people know while trying to be the loudest in the room.

fukk em. The marks and stooges will never change. It’s not worth going back and forth with them anyway.

AEW Stans: Treat us like real competition E-Drones

Also AEW Stans: We're just trying to be an alternative why are you so mean to us? 😢

The duality of marks. :wow:
Upset when they don’t see them as competition

Upset when they see them as competition

The goalposts moving & plead copping is pathetic :beli:

It’s foot on neck season

The bullshyt some of you come up with to push arguments is wild. AEW fans haven’t been vocal about being competition for YEARS already. They realized it wasn’t worth it and stayed in their lane.

From day one WWE has always tried to fukk with AEW, but Cokeboy shut it down after NXT lost. Now the new regime is going hard with it.

People talk about compettion, but the truth is WWE is doing all this shyt because they don't want to compete with AEW. They know AEW's fighting an uphll battle in North America. They're snuffing out any potential extra attention and momentum they can gain by taking up space in the conversations surrounding their PPV weekends. They don't want AEW to exist because they want to control the whole wrestling business and have maximum leverage over talent.

Think about why a big corporate restaurant chain opens up a store across the street from a local restaurant that sells the same shyt? It's not because they're threatened by the mom & pop spot, they just want their brand to have maximum attention, so that people always think of them first for that food. And the little guy can either accept a payout to get little bro'd and gobbled up (like TNA) or get ran out of business.

How does @AStrangeName feel about this? :jbhmm:
I'm surprised that you care about my opinion. I watch AEW and TNA, so going head to head is not going to work. It didn't work in 2010 when TNA intentionally went head to head with Raw, it didn't work when they unintentionally went head to head with SmackDown in 2015 and it ain't gonna work now. Anyone who watches TNA more than likely watches AEW and vice versa for the most case with the difference is that AEW fans will look at what TNA got going on if they got something way more interesting than what AEW is showing. They did that before a few years ago when Battle of the Belts was still a thing, but that's it iirc.

If anything, both fans are in agreement that it's a dumb idea and it does more damage to TNA in the short and long term. WWE is basically wanting a kill two birds with one stone, so they can be the only one in town. TNA needs to be on a non WWE affiliated network to save them from themselves and not participate in WWE's obession with AEW.

Edit:
Forgot to mention on the last sentence on them needing to choose a non WWE affiliated network, if they choose a network that WWE has no ties with and it cause problems in return, then it's for the best for them in the long run if it means the partnership dies in the process.

Why are you surprised? You’re making the TNA threads weekly, so I’m curious what a TNA fan thinks.

No, it's that you are not being truthful about what happened. ROH was a dead brand. I know because I was following it. I went to the NJPW/ROH show at MSG and that was the last hurrah. Their parent company didn't want to spend money and they couldn't land a quality TV deal.

As far as NJPW goes, what did they do, sign Okada? Ok, cool NJPW admitted that they couldn't financially pay him what he was worth. That's somehow AEW's fault? Explain it.

Also, where were you when WWE was signing Nakamura and AJ Styles? I'd love to see the whataboutisms from this......, lmao
Alright,

  • so why was ROH a dead brand? What made them fall off specifically, from their peak during the indy boom???
  • What caused the NJPW/ROH show and the projected card to fall apart???
  • why couldn't they land a quality TV deal? (its related to the above answers, not just sinclair being cheap?
  • They signed Okada, the young bucks, Kenny Omega, Adam Page, Cody, etc...all of which (other than okada) were also ROH stars...probably related to the first two Bullet points.
  • WWE does what wwe does....they sign great talent from anywhere with no regard...i know this...but oddly AEW has to be the babyface with every signing...
Look, AEW plucked the best indy talent and guys from ROH and top guys from NJPW under the guise of partnership, hurting their roster. They were doing the same thing to AAA and villified Konnan for calling out their fukkery. This is what the wrestling industry does or is but for some reason it's handwaived for AEW. PWG, DEFY, CZW, ROH, MLW, were all flourishing right before AEW...why is that??

just admit that is what happened without being compelled to make AEW a conquering hero.

You usually don't care about other people opinions in the section for the most care. I only kept the weekly thread a thing because it was me and @PharaohAtem whom were make the threads together and took over the PPV threads when he lost access to his account.
