Because if Jalen Hurts gets stopped, his teammates can push him forward and the play continues.

But if AJ Brown catches a pass and the defense stops him, they aren’t allowed to gang up and push him back for a loss of yards. He’s granted forward progress.

So why should the offense get this benefit and the defense doesn’t? It’s bullshyt.

It's pathetic.

I can't blame them for doing it when it works and when their QB is mediocre at best. I wouldn't want the NFL to ban it because they're good at it, but the officials need to start calling false starts, or the league needs to do something about it for being detrimental to the game of football. Pathetic.
