Him being greatly onkey at his apex is:

Him being offkey would be mostly any verse he dropped, in the styles era.
where it had a sonic landscape out of his sweet spot.
or made out of an era in production he gave a fukk about being really great on.

The ha remix he was offkey on.

Which is why it is so wack but he has replicated this bad an outing quite a few times.
Especially, since relaunching as a complete pop production based artist on bpiii, as well.
Check a number of his watch the throne verses where he is trying to spit on a trap based record or production as well.

I knew for a fact it would be the Ha remix as an example of being off key! everytime i hear it I cringe and i'm a Jay Stan. shyt is straight trash.

Actually jayz has great mic presence.
He is typically offkey after any material made after volume iii and the intros to roc la and bit pieces here and there.
He really does not have a great flow.
He mechanically does other flows but they are never the best submission of it.
Nor is it the best flow of that era or submission in that era.
when you could say he had the best flow.
It was completely a ripoff of ll's vocal tonality exclusively.
shyt, he took ll's most potent content and concepts and bit them as well.

Jay pretty much got by in excellent pr, the glass ceiling of rap being shattered by pac/big and labels needing to create a new glass ceiling in their death.
after jay's failed launches at being jiggy.
I would liken jayz flow and vocal tonality in the same vein incomparison as to similar to how weak common sense is vocally.
Yet common sense used to have a much higher cultural responsibility all the way around with no flodge'n.
Plus, was an artist who excelled in the technical revolution conversion and sonic landscape change ushered in bh nas in resurrection.
Without leaning on nas'a skill set like the almost entirety of the sellout rap game needed to do or did.
Yet, common's cultural responsibility would not enable or allow common to go into the direction of commercial sellout based rap.

That when common tried to with the afrikka bambaata style Neptune sellout records.
His cultural stance previously put him in the conundrum.
Of not being able to do what jayz did from jump from selling out with jaz as fresh prince ripoff's.
To jayz being visually cool c's hilltop hustler walk mixed with father mc based direction with ratcheted up street content influenced by everyone from Biggs chiding and geechi suede on rd.
To keep him away from the type of artist father mc wack culture thief ass was pigeon holed as.

It was just a matter of timing and great pr that saved jayz as a draw and also gave him a pass for being weak vocally as well.
As jayz has no real power needed to normally or a-typically be able to sell a lot of records in general in the rap world.
Which is why jay is given high distinction but it is more perception, smoke and mirrors, culture thievery and examing the pass system made from thug life Stan and using it against them to create his own delussional envious of thug life based Stan base. That over inflates
Everything in a post pac and big shatter glass ceiling era.

:ehh:

Here it is laid out for you supposed Jigs "fans". And I better not see any of you start using Art Barr's musings in future discussions either :comeon:.

It is the worst remix imo ever.
Plus, the fact jay was trying to piggy back on to and siphon the draw of others.
Where cash money in any incarnation was well out of his comfort zone.
Where he jumped on this record just for the draw and perception of his conversion from being a jiggy sellout scarvie in a suit.
To being accepted by more southern based artists.
who he had no permeation with as a draw at that time.

Jay is a master at painting a picture through words. That's without even getting into the double or triple entendres :mjcry:

For all of Jay's classic verses- technically sound, witty, and catchy all at the same time in many cases...

...the thing nikkas love to hold against him is that he never wasted his time rhymin' like "my lyricism is a cataclysm of mysticism and rhythm with spherical spritual lyrical miracles and hystericals"...

It'll never make any sense...

You know . . before the "I dumbed down for my audience to double my dollars" was put into play

I greatly enjoy Reasonable Doubt but I never considered anything in it to be lyrically impressive. So I'm wondering what examples come to mind when you think of impressive lyrics from Jay and was he more noted for his lyrical ability or the content of work

to entertain your troll thread:

We used to fight for building blocks
Now we fight for blocks with buildings that make a killing

The closest of friends when we first started
But grew apart as the money grew, and soon grew black-hearted

Thinking back when we first learned to use rubbers
He never learned so in turn I'm kidnapping his baby's mother

My hand around her collar, feeding her cheese
She said the taste of dollars was shytty so I fed her fifties

About his whereabouts I wasn't convinced
So I kept feeding her money 'til her shyt started to make cents

Who could ever forsee, we used to stay up all night at slumber parties
Now I'm trying to rock this bytch to sleep

All the years we were real close
Now I see his fears through her tears, know she's wishing we were still close

Don't cry, it is to be
In time, I'll take away your miseries and make 'em mine, D'Evils

:stopitslime:

As sure as this, Earth is turning souls burning
in search of higher learning turning in every direction seeking direction
My moms cryin cause her insides are dyin
her son tryin her patience, keep her heart racin
A million beats a minute, I know I push you to your limit
but it's this game love, I'm caught up all in it
They make it so you can't prevent it, never give it
you gotta take it, can't fake it I keep it authentic
My hand got this pistol shakin, cause I sense danger
like Camp Crystal Lake and
don't wanna shoot him, but I got him, trapped
within this infrared dot, bout to hot him and, hit rock bottom
No answers to these trick questions, no time shyt stressin
My life found I got ta live for the right now
Time waits for no man, can't turn back the hands
once it's too late, gotta learn to live with Regrets

thats just 2 verses

This isn't a troll thread by any means, such an assertion might be the result of misplaced sensitivity

I appreciate you sharing those lyrics, lyrically I don't see anything impressive there at all

In my top 5 Jay songs ever, really underrated track. Jay is in my top 5 but your posts are interesting I see where you coming from and can agree with some of the shyt you're saying.

You think Jay was biting Snoop on the Dynasty album though? :dwillhuh:
