Rielly shouldnt escape criticism, outside 2023 he’s been bad in the playoffs too.

even worse, we’re stuck with him for the rest of the decade, until the end of the 2029-30 season. What a shame we will never get rid of his long and expensive contract. He significantly regressed since the 2023 playoffs. We have had the misfortune of witnessing Two straight seasons of garbage defensive play and performances from him. He has zero defensive awareness/hockey sense, he can’t clear out the puck, he sucks on the transition game, he sucks offensively ( in large part because he lacks the vision, creativity, puckhandling skills, and skating to efficiently quarterback a powerplay, he can’t shoot the puck because he doesn’t have a hard/accurate shot anymore )and when it come to the physical game, he’s soft as butter now. He’s a liability in almost every area of the game.

At his best five or six years ago, He used to be the rich man’s version of Jake gardiner and Bryan berard. Now he’s getting older and getting worse.
