The Canes are making Toronto’s performance against Florida look a lot more respectable. Carolina looks like they’re going to get swept while getting their heads kicked in every night.

Philly, Seattle and Buffalo too. Too many major US markets missing the playoffs because they are mediocre will have a huge impact on NHL playoff TV ratings.

Funny enough both Conference Finals matchups would’ve been 1st round matchups if it was 1-8 seeding

Not ideal for Detroit and Columbus, but would balance the divisions both geographically and depth of good teams imo.
