It bugs me how defensemen are used offensively. It also bugs me that teams are committed to three forwards and two defensemen. I don't understand why the game hasn't evolved and someone says: "I'm just putting my five best guys out here and everyone will be able to attack and defend."

Or, if my defensemen attacks the crease, a forward might have to rotate back and become a defensemen.

Why are teams still adamant that defensemen stay around the blue line (besides a couple guys like Cale Makar and Quinn Hughes)?

It's stupid and yeah sports evolve but the NHL stats adamant. Only on the pp do you see like 4 forwards out there.

Would yall like to see icing thrown out the window when a team is a man down because of a pulled goalie like how it is on the penalty kill?

No, that would make teams be more conservative and do it more since they wouldn’t be a stoppage. Buchenvich for example last night had time and room to skate it out and chip out to neutral ice instead of icing it. Pulling the goalie is a risky move, but it’s mitigated imo if a team is passive like the Blues were or work against you like the Avs if you aren’t generating good scoring chances with nothing but perimeter passing and shots.

Is Bobrovsky still cooking? Shame the Blue Jackets didn't cash him out. They haven't been worth watching since then. Don't give a shyt about hockey, but let's go Panthers!
