props, I have the same card. obviously download the latest driver. the drivers should come with Geforce Experience as well, which is a program that will recommend settings for many games (if you have them installed). since you got an Evga card, also d/l EVGA Precision. you can use that for overclocking, plus it has a good On Screen Display program included (you can display your fps, gpu temp, etc)

get Steam and join the coli group

my experience with that card is it doesn't overclock well. it's already "superclocked", and doesn't seem to have much room to go further. your card might be better (see 'silicone lottery'), but I don't think it should be a priority

aside from the On Screen Display, what I use EVGA Precision for is adjusting my 'fan curve'. basically the card comes set up to run the fan at certain speeds at certain temps (faster as the card gets hotter). but I found the default settings not quite as aggressive as I like (the card was getting too hot for my liking). the drawback to that is the fans get louder the faster they go, but I prefer the piece of mind of not seeing the card go above 80c (I've also heard that the card starts to throttle at that temp, but I'm not sure about that).

in general EVGA Precision has some good tools for seeing various info about your card, and adjusting some things if you like

edit: you really don't need to worry about any of this stuff at first

Thou, a peasant, hast seen thy light?? :pachaha:

That's a good card though. I used that card for my cousin rig I built. Do what Daze said and get that thing set up. Now download steam and :eat:.

:patrice: You bought this so close to Titanfalls release though... :patrice:

edit: Cheapshark.com. You'll never over pay for a PC game using this. Always quadruple check this site before copping a game. You'll always find a deal somewhere. The coli brehs will keep you fed though as they look out for one another. :to: Them humble bundle deals. :to:.

First things first, what display are you using?? I was scolded on here when I told these guys I was rocking a 720P TV last year. :sadcam: I was instructed to purge myself of sins and head to the nearest electronics retailer and properly equip myself with a TV for the modern man. If you're a desktop user, you can get a nice 120hz or 1440P setup if you want to dip your toes in that area so to speak.

I'm hooking it up to that lg tv y'all was ranking on from my kitchen. I have no clue about refresh rates or anything like that. The lag shouldn't be too bad right?
