It's all about steering the direction of the conversation and building off of what you like and can talk about and what she likes and can talk about. I feel my number one problem with talking to women is that I'm too one sided at times. I talk and talk and don't listen. I've found that women like guys that are willing to listen to what they have to say and can actually relate to what you're saying. And are confident saying it. It's all about confidence cause that's viral and people sense that. Not just women...but bosses, workers, co-workers, associate. It's all about being that dude...in your head...but as well in real life.
Also, it doesn't hurt to be too nice. Just to gauge the situation and asses everything. Certain women are hard to read...honestly most women like most people are hard to read unless you have some sort of beforehand inclination of anything that you can work from (is she wearing a t-shirt from a band she likes? use that to your advantage).
Also, it helps to be funny. But not too funny or goofy.
