What I'm saying is even though they have that right most workplaces do NOT enforce it for alcohol unless it's a job with driving or shyt like that. Soon when weed is legal in most states they will also stop enforcing their right to refuse to higher someone due to THC on a screening, even sports leagues are taking weed of the banned substance list.

It's more than staying off drugs, but removing the source of the "need" for drugs is more important.
Truth is, society, the village, doesn't know, or doesn't want to raise the children. Ever realize how empty life is unless you fill it with something yourself?
That's why we are consumers and addicts, people don't believe in something that can fulfill their lives, and don't look for fulfillment within themselves and the action that they can take in the world. We look for distractions and stimulation, to be constantly turnt for no reason. It's a restless energy that is taxing and ultimately self-destructive.
Granted, the world is made like this, so there is possibility of success within it. But the trade off is how much of yourself are you willing to give and to lose in order to cope within society. Or do you have the internal fortitude to overcome the world, the drugs, the rascism, one's own lethargy and hunger, to become something more.
