Jets fukked :blessed::philha:
it really doesn't matter who the QB is for you to come to that conclusion next year.

In a way, Geno can't win even if he plays ok. the teams he's gonna see are just better than the Jets. He may look better, but they'll go 5-11 and call on Hackenberg while they blow another high pick on a QB.

first month and a half is rough then the schedule flattens big time

These NFL Teams Will Probably Start Hot Because Of An Easy Schedule
The schedule doesn't lighten up til week 8. By then the season may be lost.

@ Browns, @ Dolphins, vs. Rams is the lightest part of the schedule. Browns won't be a gimme and St. Louis is really just like us. After that the schedule goes back to being brutal unless Luck and Kaep will be as bad as last year and they're too talented to repeat last year.

you play 16 games. The season is never lost unless there's injuries. Just look at KC and Seattle last year. Jets drew a shytty first month but unless there's significant injuries its generally a week to week sport.

yea, we didn't get to see what geno could do without an good offense around him.

and if he fails, that increases the jets' chances of drafting an impact quarterback next spring, instead of finishing in 6th or 8th place with an overpaid average quarterback every year.

If Geno looks good while we lose, then I don't see us going to Hackenberg.

Then again, our fanbase will believe that Fitz would win some of those games instead of Geno :heh:

Unless there's significant injuries, they're gonna kick our ass, because if those teams are healthy, they're better. The Jets can't even take advantage of guys that are suspended like Bell and Brady.

That's why I feel bad for Geno in that he'll be blamed mostly for the record even though only a borderline elite QB can manage this schedule.

The only two teams that are significantly better in that 6 game stretch are the Seahawks and Cardinals. (assuming Fitzpatrick is back). Even then a 2-4 start is hardly killer.

the Jets gotta figure out how to beat Rex in his Superbowl. We're not gonna win at Heinz or at Arrowhead The only surefire win in the first 8 weeks is the home opener because we win a lot of home openers. The other toss-up is maybe the Ravens game and that's another team I don't see being as bad as they were last year.

Agree they have to beat Buffalo. The under the radar part of the Jets that killed them last year were their special teams, which were horrendous. If the offense and defense can remain around the same...and the specials significantly improve(not that hard to fix you'd hope) then I think they'll compete for a playoff spot.

:cape: starting early
How am I caping? :wtf:

I think he's gone regardless, but I think he could play well for all we know and they'll still lose because the teams they will face are better than them. The Jets are gonna be that team that looks good every week, but loses. It's like last year's Ravens where they lost every close game.

They're gonna do this every single season until the ghost of Tom Brady inhabits one of their annual picks and that's if they know how to develop a QB
