That's a good clap back from Brady.

Still, I refuse to believe in this narrative that you need to be a dikkhead and create a stressful and super serious environment to get everyone to focus and win.

I spent 20 years watching the Spurs and Tim Duncan exude excellence without all that crap, so nobody is going to tell me Tom Brady or Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan's method was the only way.

Winning chips aint for the weak. Its a high bar, that yes even pros...even elite pros arent willing are able to sustain the focus or make the sacrifices to clear consistently.

That said, it only works with chip ready squads. Guys are willing to push and sacrifice if they have a shot at winning. nikkas fall in line if they see results. They do the opposite if they dont. You see how all these hard ass coaches look when they dont have the horses. nikkas aint tryna hear that AND get smacked around in the games.

That squad when Brady left wasnt a contender anymore. So that same shyt that could propel a chip worthy squad can take all the air out of a lesser squad. Thats why we saw the Bucs actually improve the year after Brady left. Lower expectations and less stress allowed them to flourish. Probably felt relieved/lighter.
