I recently had a negative encounter with some White PR at this bakery and cafe I wanted to try and I got poor customer service, but they gave great customer service to the White Women who came after me.

All previous non English immigrant groups to America have lost their language , what exactly is so special about Hispanic or African immigrants that they should be treated any different?

How pathetic are you to think that Africans, Hispanics, Asians and other immigrants should lose their language because other previous non English immigrant groups aka white Europeans lost theirs!!

Also those previous non English immigrant groups lost their language because they didn't bother teaching them to their children and grand children, it was a choice they made no one force them to abandon their language

Should we pass a law prohibiting immigrant parents from speaking their native language in front their children because that how most of those immigrant groups can still speak their languages?

And most importantly why is it in black prople's interest for Hispanic or African immigrants to keep their language?

You haven't explained why it's so important for Africans and Hispanics to keep their language, what will be the aftermath if immigrants lose their language?

"calling out brokaws racism" is problematic for a few reasons 1) immigrants losing their language is normal in America, brokaws comment is just coming from a long American tradition, it's not racism per se it's actually just an extension of Europeans and their competition between each other, it's not directly related to Africans 2) you are equating a language disagreement with anti black racism when in fact both white people and Hispanics have a history of anti black racism so in that dispute black people are neutral unless there are TANGIBLE BENEFITS to be had 3) it's a non issue for black people at best, but if you dig deeper and triangulate it becomes obvious that English being dominant is in black peoples interest at this point in time and that the spread of bilingualism in the work place goes against black interests

Aside from Spanish none of those languages have any significant impact on American culture or the American economy, they all had their heyday and pretty much disappeared

I wasn't referring to languages you come across riding the subway or traversing random neighborhoods, You can find pockets of any language in the us especially in large metros
