Tom does stunts that anyone could physically do if they chose to learn. Jackie does stunts that stuntmen can’t even do. This thread is disrespectful.

Jackie Chan does stunts that take legitimate skill. Tom Cruise does crazy adrenaline junkie shyt. It’s just different. Jackie Chan would be able to do all the shyt Tom does. But I can guarantee Tom couldn’t do half the shyt Jackie can.

One thing I always liked about Jackie Chan’s scenes was the incredible athleticism he had. He grew up in a Chinese Opera School and had a lot of acrobatic training. In addition to the crazy shythe did (Police Story pole slide, Supercop helicopter ladder, Who Am I building slide), etc….he would do a lot of smaller things.

Stop. Jackie's been doing it for Decades. Tom is late to the game. Like someone said, Tom was busy in his tighty whitey's dancing while Jackie was putting in work. Tom wishes he could do the Ladder stunt fight. Plus Tom's Stunts are mostly for "Mission Impossible" were as Jackie does them across more films.

stunts aside. I forget how many iconic movies he's been in. Dude literally had a run of 20 plus consecutive movies through 3 decades that are iconic to this day. What other actor can claim that? I'm sure there are others but can't think of any of the top.
