Man, this dude with bang on Oregon info said earlier today (after saying Oregon made a offer to Herman today. Not happening tho) that Herman was not Texas's first choice(That is what dudes Oregon source told him). That would line up with the Wolkam tweet.

serious question: what is it about herman that got people thinking he the next great coach?....from what i've seen, he's good, but i dont understand the hype for the guy....i mean, his loaded houston team, which many picked to have a great shot at the playoff this year, got they asses beat by navy and smu...yea, his teams get up for big time opps, but they also get down too...which says inconsistency to me...

I don't know what he can do at LSU while Saban and the other competition is in the West. Too many landmines to say he'll be this or that. He took a few questionable Ls this season when he was pretty much suppose to run through it with Houston. 2 losses in the SEC West will have you in the middle of the pack.
