Do you think the Knicks win the ECF with another coach?

Because I think another coach could be the way to go. Then again, NY had a lot of turnovers and bad fouls in this series. Maybe that’s on the coach for not emphasizing focus. Maybe that’s on the players for not executing well.

This is an oversimplification but it seems to me like depth was a weak point for the Knicks in these playoffs.

A lot of Thibs' teams have overacheived during the regular season, where they end up making the playoffs largely through effort/defense (see the majority of those Bulls squads), so it stands to reason his playoff record is reflective of those teams not having enough talent once they reach the 1st/2nd round. With that said, his lack of adjustments, inability to utilize different personnel and absence of offensive identity, really inhibit his teams from maximizing their potential.

That's even more exposed now where games are dictated more through 3-pt activity and less defensive arm-wrestles (which were his calling card) like they were during the early 2010s.

He's simply become a dinosaur in today's game.

Let's say you fire him, who's the obvious replacement? If you fire Thibs, the plan is to win a chip next year, I can't see any of these available coaches getting the Knicks there.

Ain't nobody winning shiit with KAT. That nikka is not very good.

But lets be honest Knicks did way better than most people thought, same with Indy,

People thought Detroit was gonna cook NY. Then they knew they'd lose to Boston.

Knicks overachieved
Bridges game winning/saving plays helped in Games 1 and 2 against Celtics plus the Celtics players and Mazzulla reverted back to 2023 Celtics and reminded me of that Heat/Celtics series.

Pacers knocked them out 2 years in a row...Knicks need more depth and a team with the fire power the Pacers have...Thibs have to do better as well
