Ignoring the fact that minorities were excluded from even competing for these career fields for decades (regardless of how skilled they were).
No one is saying that a Black Officer should pass Undergraduate Pilot Training just because theyre Black. What we are saying is, due to decades of oppression, Black folks were not given the opportunities, prepatory tools and welcoming attitude to even consider being a Pilot. That needs to be rectified in order for their truly to be "the best of the best" in the military. fukking clown.
Also not sure if Tuberville knows this but the US isnt really in a position to be picky either. Recruitment is down across all branches. Even the service academies are having problems filling seats. So clearly the existing recruiting strategies arent working.
