I liked the movie, apparently the majority of people that saw it did. What's the point of this hyperbole? There are contrarians everywhere and with this movie, you gotta look harder to find someone that dislikes it. The comments on his own video tell me all I need to know. Also this fool says the movie needs to make almost 400 million to break even, that's not true no matter how you try to twist it.

Its an important perspective that I think will age well and deserves to be listened to

why is it whenever there a black movie the haters come out the woodwork?? same thing when birth of a nation came out
When you invite movies that center certain themes you have to nail it completely. You can’t claim inaccuracy or feign ignorance when you leave the door open on so many things.

How will it age well if he's literally in the lower 2 percent that dislike the movie? I watched the review btw and he cpmes across as a man praying for the failure of this movie and he's trying to convince himself that it's not good. I get that not everyone will love it but his nitpicks are really dumb. He fell asleep, 2 other people fell asleep, he's trying to convince people that liked the movie that they didn't really like it. He's mad that they didn't have ADOS representation, mad that Chinese people are in the movie when there's literally a record of Chinese people that consulted on the movie and had to have 2 stores, 1 for whites and one for blacks. He’s trying to convince us that it's not an authentic representation of blacks in the south. Dude is trying wayyy too hard and he sounds like a hater and not a critic. I'll listen to proper criticism of the movie, but this isn't it.

Let me give you an example of a movie that did that, and was universally praised. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. That movie completely rewrote history for no reason other than to do it. Same with Inglorious Basterds. Both Tarantino films but I can name more.

There were legit critiques, I think the accent critique in particular was a good one since they've been trying to gaslight us about how good these British actors are at American accents for decades. It's beyond time we start calling this bullshyt out if that's the standard Hollywood is trying to push. Wunmi did not sound Mississippi at all.

But nah, lol this wasn't it. I think he missed the entire point of the Asians being the ones who let vampires in as well. My read on the movie was that Asians aren't our friends/allies and are for themselves at the end the day. They shouldn't have been invited to the juke joint in the first place and screwed us over the first opportunity they got. :manny:
