Instead of ring chasing, he needs to just get a tv gig and go home to smash his wife every night

Dude will most likely end up in the Hall of Fame
He is arguably the GOAT TE.
He is married to a dimepiece
He has his health which most NFL players don't have toward the end of their careers

Hang up the cleats.

Don't tarnish your legacy trying to be an of the moment type and shoehorning yourself into a SB ring.

They don't play for other people's opinion of their legacy, they play because they love the game and they want the money. You have no business telling that man to end his career. If he wants to continue playing, then go head Tony you can still do it at a high level.

Why fans get so self righteous to tell players when to stop playing the game they love and stop making money is beyond me. They don't play for your opinions.

Clearly he has the right to what ever he want as he has the right to pursue what he likes, I have the right to lose respect for the guy if he tries to join a contender in the last part of a season, now if he wants to sign on play the whole season, play on, he doesn't need to play football to make money, he is ready made for TV broadcasting and if he loves the game he plays a whole season, he is clearly doing this purely to get a ring and if he picks the wrong team what does it amount to in the grand scheme, of things. But this isn't for love of the game or money, he wants a ring

At 38, sitting half a season is a mistake...he won't be able to just get in game shape and come back and still be good at such a physically demanding position.

tony gonzalez is still better than 80% of nfl tes

even on a horrible falcons team being double teamed he still had 83 catches nearly 900 yards and almost ten tds.

That patriots game when they basically had 2 linebackers just maul him at the goaline so they couldn't get the ball to him

nikka just wants to hand pick his team and come in and take someone's job for a playoff push?

Nah I'd feel some type of way about it if I was in that locker room :patrice:

And if in that first game back, his line was 7 rec / 85 yds / 2 TDs & 3 first down conversions you'd be feeling another type of way :blessed:

My best friend on the team about to lose his job... :stopitslime:, to a first ballot hall of famer... :ehh:, who can still play at a high level... :leon: :mindblown: , and is helping this team get wins that much easier :win:...

My best friend on the team lost his job... :manny:
