Does AEW have good wrestling yes but that’s about it
They hide their flaws behind good wrestling but that’s can only take you so far

This is my biggest problem with WWE right now. The shows should not be this underwhelming with all the talent they have right now.

Okada has always been overrated to me. But I didn't watch his early years and his rise as the face of NJPW, so maybe I'm missing something. Pre-covid, I was watching NJPW semi-regularly, and he was moving in slo-mo then and it doesn't look like his moves have any impact. That lariat is a terrible finisher for him, given how he wrestles.
There was a time when him and Tanahashi were considered the Orton and Cena of NJPW. Okada always had to slow and methodical pacing, also his moves didn't hit and were predicable AF. The only reason wrestling fans glazed him was the match with him and Omega at Wrestle Kingdom, and that match didn't hit as hard as Okada/Shibata.
Don't get me wrong, Okada is one of the GOATs but a spell ago he was considered overrated to Puro heads.

TNA heads felt the same way as those that dunk on the product.
AEW shouldn't have no damn immunity at all. For the most part, it's all jokes on this side of town. You have a product that claims to be the best, and does questionable shyt...of course that's going to get shytted on. It's all wrestling 101.

The wrestling is the part that bores me. The matches are too random, too choreographed, too phony looking, and still too long. Also, how many flips, false finishes, and post-match run-ins do we need on one show? After a while, every match on the show feels the same as the match that preceeded it.
I'll choose a good story and a reason to care about the fighters' conflict over a 20 minute spotfest any day of the week.

I don't even watch the show but at least know that this actually WAS told pretty well in story, to be fair. Basically it's "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" regarding Mox and the skinheads.
