I really love Jodeci, but have KCi & JoJo, or anyone else dropped any classics that’s better than the songs below? Specifically, post Jodeci.

I mean, All My Life, Tell Me It's Real and Crazy were worldwide hits which is the most success any artist can have per song. They also had some classics like Life (from the soundtrack), Don't Rush, You Bring Me Up that were also really dope on their own too.

Then of course their features on:
2Pac: How Do U Want It, Toss It Up
Gangstarr: Royalty

Would not have been the same without those two.

While I do agree with the "good music" argument, it can be argued that the songs they made were "great music" based on how many people loved it. Despite what many may think, it's actually not an easy task to make hits on those levels and it's rare for artists to have more than one. It wasn't really a one-hit wonder sort of run either, because those three major songs they had were over the span of 3-4 years where the mass population really knew them as "Kci and Jojo" and were household names.

Individually, Raphael Saadiq got nowhere near that level of chart success at the end of the day.

My arguments for music will never be based on sales or charts.

I’m speaking about the soul of the song. The ability for the song to impact black people across generations. I’m speaking of the live band & different instrumentations...the ability to play this song at a BBQ or do a Chicago step to it. I’m talking about the ability of this song to reflect black life through music.

I’m not saying that Jodeci is soulless. They definitely had/have soul. But Raphael is just on another level.

there's a difference between just singing in the choir and actually being in a gospel group. Kci and Jojo were heavy in the church. They were actually doing gospel as a career correct? Combine that with singing over those type beats.
