I'm shocked to see so many people say Stockton. He's good but I always saw him as a guy who ate from the offensive system he was in, but I've only seen playoff games from him.
who run a better pick and roll though than stockon
Kidd is better than Tony Parker?
better individual player. not necessarily a better point guard all things considered. parker does the main things you really need out of a pg better call him a system player if you want like thats a bad thing. as a pg thats what hes supposed to be.

Kidd is better than Tony Parker?
Yeah. Parker is probably top 10 at this point though.

There's the aforementioned should be top 5. Then...

Pistol Pete
Glove
Cousy
Nash
Parker

You could obviously argue Tiny Archibald too...or KJ.

Rings ain't everything homie plus I saw some dudes wit J Kidd on the list and his career FG% is.... 40 while AI's is 42.5 :yeshrug:

Kidd is also an ungodly passer with some of the best court vision, playmaking, and defense you can ask from a PG.

Kidd is pretty much a perfect PG.

Is this real life? Kidd is like a GOAT-tier passer, a great and versatile defender, a great rebounder which is dangerous because his passing ability, a great leader, and playmaker.

Parker is a better slasher and finisher.

in other words kidd = better individual player

look at that statement you put in about parker. think about how important that is to the spurs as a whole. how much of a percentage of plays come from parker creating off picks throwing himself into the defense and collapsing it and opening up shooters and cutters all over the floor. the whole flow of the offense go through parker even if parkers not making the pass or shooting. he sets the whole offensive flow into motion. system pg indeed. think about what a pg really does an reassess your criteria

And Kidd, In his prime, didn't set the entire motion for his offense?

PGs typically run the offense, set up teammates, control the flow and tempo if the game and are the leaders. Kidd did ALL of that better than Parker has.

Did you WATCH Prime Kidd on the Nets?

based on what then. break it down.

Based on the fact that Parker has a GOAT-tier coach that's probably under Phil Jackson, with an amazing offensive system that is predicated on having great passers on multiple positions and ball movement.

Prime Kidd made Kenyon Martin look good and took a bunch of "meh" players to the Finals where he had to go against a GOAT-tier Duncan in his prime.

You're talking about Parker creating offense out of nothing? Kidd was doing that and creating top-tier offenses with worse personnel.

Parker is a good playmaker, a good passer, and a damn good scorer. Kidd is an elite passer, playmaker, and an ok scorer WHILE being a much better defender and rebounder.

Kidd is the perfect example of a PG who made everyone around him better on offense and defense simply due to his understanding of the game. Just...go and watch some Kidd highlights or games. He's honestly the perfect PG.
