:deadmanny: @ Pop artists being "real" musicians, you telling me Justin Bieber & Katy Perry as real musicians. Country doesn't really appeal to most computer savvy generation either. the Hip Hop sales bubble popped a long time ago, just like rock sales went down during Hip Hop's hey day but guess what? they didn't cry about rock being dead and all that bullshyt, a lot of bands kept making great music and up coming bands started new styles and trends and now they're back up in the sales.
This is by far the most retarded argument used here. Let y'all tell it, country fans still use cassettes :smh:

"White people in middle America don't know how to use the Internet, even though they know how to use Facebook, Twitter, iTunes. Yeah, clearly that's the answer" :what:

And yes, Rock N Roll is dead was said A LOT during hip-hop's heyday. Some people STILL believe that shyt

you're telling me the average 50 year old who listens to country music knows when, where & how to get new albums from torrents, blogs & sites like Rapidshare? there's people on the coli that can't download a fukkin album unless Big Biz hands it to them on a silver platter

The average 50 year old was in their mid 30's when Napster and Audiogalaxy and Kazaa were out and killin shyt. The 25 year old then is in their late 30's- early 40's now. Believe it or not, big business is not the sole proprietor of all illegal music. Who do you think supplies these torrents, blogs, and Rapidshare? Hustle Man on 125th street?

Those fans are way more conditioned to buy the album than not to buy it, even if they already downloaded it. We just steal music because we hate shyt we feel the music business owes us.
