Pop & Country music is killing... that's because a lot of those artists are real musicians & have more to show for it in their performances then running back and forth on stage screaming into a microphone...

I think it's crazy that in 2013 three thousand people woke up last week & decided to buy "The Eminem Show"... so fukking random... :wow:

:deadmanny: @ Pop artists being "real" musicians, you telling me Justin Bieber & Katy Perry as real musicians. Country doesn't really appeal to most computer savvy generation either. the Hip Hop sales bubble popped a long time ago, just like rock sales went down during Hip Hop's hey day but guess what? they didn't cry about rock being dead and all that bullshyt, a lot of bands kept making great music and up coming bands started new styles and trends and now they're back up in the sales.

The thing is... it takes absolutely no knowledge or skill in music theory at all to become a rapper... people think just because artists like Justin Bieber put out commercial poppy music that they are trash when in fact a lot of pop artists are talented as hell...

any old bloke can play guitar, i'm pretty sure they both also use auto tune which takes them down several notches IMO plenty of Hip Hop producers and MC's can play instruments and plenty of pop artists can't do shyt. FLAVA FLAV can play like 50 instruemtnas or some shyt does that automatically make him BETTER than anyone else or make it more attractive for people to buy PE albums?

You're just reaching for straws because I said Katy Perry & Justin Bieber are real musicians & you said they weren't when in fact they are... :ld:

Justin Bieber can walk into a studio session right now... listen by ear & tell you exactly if the KICK DRUM is in key or not...

And I can tell you've never seen Karmin live outside of Youtube... :wow:

Of course not. No notable releases came out in the last weeks. Earlier there was the big Cole, Kanye, and Jay albums plus Wale did good. Drake will crush the charts next month too.

I will say that I don't remember a summer that was driven less by rap though, despite the big albums I named. The biggest tracks of this summer have been Blurred Lines and Get Lucky, by a mile.
Lol you got to be a cac. Blurred lines is trash
