In regards to music I was watching the scene where the two kids went up to Brum and so conveniently Drake's artist's song comes on :mjlol: Also I could've dealt without Drake sliding his "R's and V's and O's" freestyle on the soundtrack :hhh:
Okay fine. But did it anyway breach the integrity of the shows plots and storyline?

It's kind dope that some of these guys weren't actors and you can't tell for the most part.

Never knew Sully was actually a rapper. Most American rappers i know who have played in movies suck at acting and it tends to ruin shows and movies for me when they are in them. With a few exceptions of course. Ludacris did well in a few spots. LL still barely average. Will Smith is probably the best.

But the producers for this show did a great job masking those acting for the first time's flaws and weaknesses.

Sully (Kano), Du’Shane (Asher D), his girlfriend (Little Simz) Modie (Dave - Who is one of the best lyricists in the U.K. in the past few years) and Jermaine (Bashy) are all MCs

I've heard Kano (Sully)'s music before. He's cool.

I didn't know Dushane was an MC too. I knew his girl on the show (can't recall her name) was a singer too but never heard her music either.

honestly I could care less about Ra'nell, his character development hit at the end of season 2, don't really see anything that bringing his character back could add to the season..what pisses me off is that they killed modie way too early, his breaking out of prison should have been at the end of the last episode which would set up the war for season 4...would have been amazing

Daily offender.......crazy eastender!

Thats the exact thing im talking about. THat scene happens in season 3 when he went into hiding in Jamaica. That is NOT season 1. All the scenes in Jamaica are all in season 3. Only mention of Jamaica in season one is when Dris was telling someone that his girlfriend went to Jamaica to take care of her father.
I actually watched season 3 first and thought "what the fukk is up with all the hype? This show is terrible:hhh:" Only to realise that "Top Boy Summerhouse" is where the show began (season 1 and 2) :dwillhuh:.

Rewatching season 3 from the start and suddenly I'm thinking "damn... this shyt is brilliant:blessed:".

Nah, Top Boy is too indebted to The Wire for this to be true. The latest season was VERY influenced by the Wire right down to some characters and a few montages.
Sorry, I disagree. I watched The Wire once. It was brilliant but I would not watch it again.

Truth is, every brilliant gangster show owes something to The Sopranos. Top Boy and The Wire are "kind of" the same show but Top Boy takes it for me. Just my opinion though, everyone is entitled to theirs. The Wire was ground breaking so I am not trying to take from it but Top Boy for me is a step up.

*Edit* I quoted the wrong post originally

They should relabel it to clear the confusion
