Kane/undertaker should always be in the top 5 when it comes to storylines.
I would personally throw in the shane /Kane storyline.
I think some people forget that story arc rekindled the fiyah that Kane kind of lost gradually over the past few years prior to this.

I'd argue that HBK's arc for his last 2 years nearly trumps the Taker vs Triple H and HBK feud.
From HBK retiring Flair to faking an injury against Batista to the historic feud against Y2J. Then when he finally vanquished Y2J he's "broke" and has to work as JBL's servant. Breaks out of that to face Undertaker at WrestleMania and fails.
Comes back 6 months later to help his best friend out but can't shake the feeling that he can beat Taker so he costs Taker the belt. Finally in another great match Undertaker puts him down for good.

but the Summer of Punk was a modern classic. The promos, the breaking the 4th wall, the crowd reaction to the intro, the match, ... all
The only thing they did wrong was how it played out after Punk left. He should've "defended" the title in ROH as a fake free agent. He should've showed up to arenas as a fan etc...

Call me crazy but everything leading up to, and the actual match, of Shane vs Vince at WM17. That match had so much fukkery that was built up. Every time Linda get her rickety ass up out that chair my face lights up.
