youre better than this regurgitating dumb shyt

Lamar was never leaving Baltimore, Lamar was never an UFA on open market

Lamar had the non-exclusive franchise tag put on him, which meant if he didnt agree to a new long term deal he'd play on 32m salary in 2023

other teams could offer a tender, but Baltimore would have a right to match it

the last player who had this tag placed on him and who has changed teams was back in 2000

you know why ? because another team not only would have to offer a non-exclusive tagged player a big contract, but also to give up TWO FIRST ROUND PICKS

WHATS 2 FIRST ROUND PICKS
FOR A NFL MVP QB?

YOURE GONNA BLOW FIRST ROUNDERS
TRYING TO FIND A QB ANYWAY

That run game and defense stepped up in the '11 playoffs when they needed critical stops and first downs...

I know you not trying to discount Eli's '11 playoff run while bringing up Burrow's who was carried by and elite defense and special teams

come on breh. its not JUST about picks. you have to give him a contract, be ready to give up two picks...and then Baltimore just matches and he doesnt have a say in it

now you left without anything and your starting qb is pissed you were ready to throw him in the bushes

you said if Tua and Lawrence were on open market....Lamar wasnt on the open market so its not an indication what teams would pay for him being an UFA with whom they can agree on their terms and be guaranteed if he agrees the deal goes through

and dont get me wrong. I think Lawrence isnt worth what he is paid and its a travesty for him to get this while playing like two pack of ass, but NFL teams do.

A guy with his pedigree will always get chances and teams will always will overpay for him trying to "fix" him

NOPE...
TEAMS ARENT GOING
TO CRIPPLE THEIR FRANCHISE
IN AN ATTEMPT TO "FIX" A BROKEN QB.

JUSTIN FIELDS COULDNT
EVEN GARNER A 3RD RD PICK
BUT TEAMS GONNA GIVE 255M
TO A BROKEN QB?

Not really. 5 years is a long time is sports, especially football. Half of the 1st list aint playing anymore. Those that are are in their mid 30s and beyond now. Only 3 guys on the 2nd list were even in the league 5 years ago.
You would hope if you're paying a qb top 10 money he's a franchise qb and franchise qbs should last way longer then 5 years if you're smart (thats the problem right there though because its not about who's best its just about which starting qb's contract runs out next.)

I wouldn't give any qb a second deal unless i knew he was my guy the next 10 years. If hes not draft another one and try again

Fields would have commanded a higher pick if Chicago dealt him before the deadline and if Poles didn't go out of his way to trade him to a spot that he wanted to go.

He did Justin a solid giving him away to Pitt. If he didn't care about Justin landing in a good situation he would have sent him to the highest bidder.

now you moved the goalposts from trying to bring Lamar's very unique situation to this... :pachaha: at least we established that Lamar wasnt really a FA like you've claimed.

many teams still consider this sunshine dude more than salvageable...Justin looked worse than him and he also wasnt a FA.

I think justin will get a solid sum of money in free agency if he can just be steady for Steelers which hes showing so far more or less

but there are still multiple NFL teams out there thinking Lawrence can be the franchise guy. Trey Lance or Fields (or Zach Wilson) on other hand are probably not considered by any team to be salvageable. Now why they consider this is often :mjpls: but it is what it is :manny:

Thats true but you gotta consider age. Ben, Rivers, Eli, Brees, and Aaron were all 35 plus in 2019. Its more noteworthy that Aaron is still playing than it is that the others arent. It will beba similar thing when the current crop is in their mid 30s and on the last year of a big deal.
