Think of all the people who turned into devout christians
Something traumatizing probably happened to them
They turned to religion because it gave them hope, it gave them something to live for

Many people claim they believe history for what can be proven. The 2nd most historically abundant document is Homers Iliad which was composed in 800 BC. With an impressive 650 copies dated to the 2nd and 3rd century at the earliest (over 1000 years later).

The New Testament has over 5600 manuscripts are dated to the first century and copies are also dated to the first century. The earliest copies date so close to when the originals were written that the time difference is essentially non-existent.

Archeology has never contradicted anything in the Bible and has confirmed much of the Bible. Even better is the New Testament has been shown to be over 99.5% textually pure.

The evidence historically and archeological confirm what the Bible says. There are only 7 copies of Plato's work but his existence isn't in doubt.

I'm sorry, but false hope is no hope at all. We all need something to get us through the day, but it should be tangible, based on reality.

It's doing people a disservice to let their ignorance go unchallenged. What's that say about you, that you would allow people to believe a lie as long as it makes them feel better?
