their fans always seem to show up and ride for there teams. i know the Raptors always do well in attendance and ive been watching the way the Leafs fans have been with the Bruins during the playoffs and they've come out hard. Sure the Blue Jays dont sell out but its baseball who even does anymore?

it just makes me think that Toronto has 3 major teams that have been around forever and will not be going anywhere anytime soon so you can basically call Toronto a pretty good sports city. I think they could easily support an NFL team.

am i right or wrong? because compared to a good amount of cities that have sports they are better or equal to them it seems but never get any shine

I agree. I feel like my city get too much hate and it's fair. We have a lot of frontrunners especially in Basketball.

If the Falcons winning, this is a Falcons town.

If the Braves exciting and winning, this is a Braves town.

This is one of the biggest Basketball cities in America but they don't like the Hawks since the Hawks are usually boring and don't ever win. If that changed, of course the Hawks will be popular.

ATL…overly
isn't atlanta a bulldogs town?

Yes. UGA & college football in particular are the most popular sports in Atlanta, followed by the Falcons, Braves baseball, then high school football

The rap that Atlanta is a bad sports town is incorrect, this is a good sports town with good sports fans, but alotta transients + no history of championships = pedestrian attendance at SOME Atlanta sporting events (mostly Hawks). Braves are top 10 in attendance for a few yrs now, Falcons have sold out every game since 08, etc

The talent is here in all sports but we start off too slow and can't cease the chance to potentially make playoffs

Raps would always have a 5-6 winning streak each season, have decent games but end up finishing 10th in the east and let's not forget those two crucial games against Cleveland and Washington that should have been a cake walk but somehow we lost both which started a terrible run for the next 10 games. :sadcam:

Blue Jays have the same problem, haven't won a series this season yet, below .500, and we're getting blown out by teams like the Mariners :snoop: but somehow I know the Jays will start a big string of wins when August rolls around when it's nearly too late.

I WISH Toronto had an NFL team

Immediate rivalries with Philly, New England, New York teams, Chicago, etc. Better then another southern disaster like Jacksonville...

Toronto loves their blue jays. They live hockey. They like basketball........as long as it ain't the Raptors:heh:

actually toronto loves the raptors

raptors 13th in attendance this year at 18,144 a game. Even though out of playoff contention in like feb. Only 2 non playoff teams trail blazers and utah jazz beat them in attendance.

raptors havent made the playoffs in like 5 years, have no real stars and are still drawing 18,144 on average a game

go to realgm raptor fans run that board.

we love our damn raptors even though we suck

Montreal
They consistently sold out the Air Canada Centre to watch the Maple Leafs during a 9 year postseason drought that finally ended this year. :heh:

I can cosign this thread.

I went to a Raptors/Bulls game in Toronto and it was packed. Another thing that threw me off was how they were raffling off dope ass shyt to the fans there. In 1 game they raffled off some nice Klipsch headphones, a trip to Boston (the irony it was the same weekend the shyt went down with the bombs), a blu-ray player, and they had a hype contest for 2 fans in the nosebleeds on the big screen. Whoever was the wildest got to come down to the 100 level.

They did all of that for those in the nosebleeds, and I was just thinkin' damn I've never ever seen any shyt like that at a Bulls game.
