There's literally nothing original about Toronto rappers. Nothing. The city in terms of hip hop doesn't have an identity like other regions. Most of their flows, beats, cadence, are all borrowed from superior rap cities. That's why there will never be a Canadian rapper who goes down as an all time great.

Uhhh that is not patois and toronto nikkas need to stop acting like there is a music scene.
Call facebook groups and social circles "music scenes"
Call 3rd generation biting "on the come up"
Call being a battyboi for persian store owners that say nikka "on the come up"
Call paying for videos with their money and asking nikkas to sponsor tables at Musik "on the come up"
Call watching worldstar and imitating random southern brehs, then rearranging the song "patois", brehs.

I hear ya.

With that said, Toronto rappers say they get bit more than people realize, especially given their proximity to New York. e.g. KRS rocking the Patois in many of his tracks.

KRS came down to Toronto in his early, early days. Even worked with up-and-coming rappers from the city. The West Indian population is massive down here. Some argue he took that Patois style from us.

These nikkas in denial. Drakes ran the rap game for damn near seven years now
And his influence among it is prominent and Toronto might pick from pots to create an identity but what city doesn't?:mjlol:It's that Toronto sound that some upcoming artists are trying to mimick. All this Canada hate for what?

And the fact Drake single handedly put Toronto on and has it amongst at least New York, LA, and Atlanta as a prominent rap city
