Las Vegas is dead. I have never seen the parking garage at the airport this empty and I did not see another person until I made it to the TSA PreCheck line in the terminal.

I was in Las Vegas last summer for my daughter’s volleyball tournament. It was in my view artificially crowded because the tournament reserved most of the rooms. My main takeaway: everything was too expensive, price gouging a captive audience. $15 for a slice of pizza? $10 for a soda?

Yes, it is, and I'm happy about it for selfish reasons. My sons turn 21 this year, and the more dead Vegas is, the looser the slots and cheaper accommodations are available. It also shows that global tourism is down, and so is Americans'; we are not traveling, and if we are, it's to another country, not Vegas. This is clearly a protest not to vacation in America as long as we have an entertainer in chief that shyts on everyone!

We had a blast but everyone we spoke to said it was a ghost town. Many talked of leaving for greener pastures.

Vegas rebranded itself as an entertainment destination apart from the “vice” industry a good while back with major investments in residencies, hosting conventions and performance venues. They don’t have just “one” economy it’s just that it’s heavily in the luxury (ent/dining/nightlife/shopping) space, which people can’t afford or where they can prefer elsewhere.

It also shows that global tourism is down, and so is Americans'; we are not traveling, and if we are, it's to another country, not Vegas. This is clearly a protest not to vacation in America as long as we have an entertainer in chief that shyts on everyone!

US consumption has slumped. Fewer people in restaurants, shopping malls, grocery stores and fewer house sales. If consumption is gone, it’ll be a huge problem!

That & Backstreet Boys having a show at The Sphere which is ongoing for a few more weeks. Otherwise, ain’t much goin’ on here. It’s da strip that’s suffering da most. Off strip casinos are allegedly making higher profits.
