Still not very fond of it as a rap album, but as an art piece it gets all my respect.

Easily album of the year, I just started bumping it all the way though again and it doesn't feel stale at all. I can understand people not getting into it soniclaly, but Idk how you can shyt on his verses or the message. He had a purpose and didn't spend the whole album spitting generic verses that you hear from most rappers. I haven't heard a rapper show this much focus on a album in a long time.

The album is aging well. I think I went back and forth with it like many people like someone else in here said because of how "dense" it was, its alot to take in. as of now my only issue with the record is the moments of the cheesy adlibs like "boo boo" :comeon:

just real unnecessary.

But yeah the tracks like "you aint gotta lie" "how much a dollar cost" "mortal man" "momma" and "Complexion" are top notch.

the thing i love about albums like these and great albums in general is that everytime you listen to them you discover a new line...obviously we heard the line before but we didnt really digest what the line meant..when your sitting still with no outside noises

like "circus acts only attract those that entertain"

I'm impressed by the amount of honesty in this thread. :ehh:

Kudos to everyone who's brave enough to call it the over-rated, reductive :trash: that it is and was.
