Nah the difference is thatyouth in Europe play in professional leagues that are physical.

American youth are prohibited from legit professional leagues and the NBA itself has sought to remove physicality from the NBA and the US leagues to bring in foreign talent
physicality is far less important than mentality

the hoop iq is going to be world's apart on players when one was developed by REAL MADRID the other was developed by TEAM HUNCHO

I disagree.
I think it's both physicality forces a change in mentality.
Professional expectation forces a mental change than the pseudo amateurism environment we had previously being masquerading in.

the issue with hoops culture in the states is THE CULTURE

overseas your children are going to be developed by professionals

here your children are going to be developed by former dope dealers & rap nikkas

:gucci:

You think the majority of AAU coaches are Birdie from Above the Rim and Avon from the Wire? Boosie and Jim Jones got basketball camps?

It’s mainly former college and high school players still wanting to live out their hoop dreams

the foundation set is there for life start wrong stay wrong

we are disagreeing on the difference between prioritizing physicality/mentality

lack of professionalism is the problem we can agree there

Yes, my argument is that physicality directly influences mentality

I think we both agree that professionalism should be promoted in the US, rather than anateurism

you think the majority of folks involved in aau are qualified to guide young players toward professional success¿

those former players mean well & they do their best but they cannot overcome the circumstances

you do have a elite .1% of programs that have it toghether but the other 99.9% it's one or two real professionals fighting a losing war against fukkery

it's the same pros with aau programs crying out about the bullshyte

That’s an entire different question all together than the original ridiculous statement that the majority of development is left to dopeboys and rappers

I think the infrastructure is in place now that pro-level talent has no issue being identified EARLY and those players get pushed towards the elite schools, camps and AAU teams that gives them the best shot to make the pros

:comeon:TMAC WAS BORN IN 1979.
HE DIDNT GROW UP IN "THAT" AAU CULTURE

AAU, hoops in general was totally different back wheh he/we were coming up. It was still legit/done the right way :myman:
You both can’t be serious lol

Maybe it’s because I grew up in the DC area, but everything about AAU ball right now was happening when j was of age back then.

Thats not including the shoe camps/leagues.

Has it gotten Worse? Hell yeah. I think the hoop factories high schools are actually worse for young players than AAU.

But this culture was present back when TMac was coming up. I remember people using Kobe as a counter to that because he didn’t grow up in this country and wasn’t exposed to AAU culture.

This is such a ignorant comment I don't know how to respond.

A young man playing professionally is always a positive. That means that kid is playing against men and holding his own

You trying to claim euro league players are unathletic is also ignorant as I'm positive they would embarrass you.

I'm American. I don't sweat Euro basketball

fukk em

Now this is the part where you reply and tell me how great Luka and Joker are

And then I reply and tell you the world will never sniff another Olympic Gold Medal in your lifetime

Do we have to do all that or can we sign in into our NBA League Pass since neither of us purchased Euro League pass?

What you wanna do?
