A third cousin is barely related to you. It's nothing to get emotional about. You share a great great grandparent.
Where they each started as youth to where they are now, the era that black 2x great grandparent sired/mothered them in, finding out they share blood is worth getting emotional over.

A breh finds out his third cousin punching a clock like he is, then I'm with you.

On average a third cousin shares 0.78% DNA. It's barely related. If a person said they were 0.78% black and 99.22% Irish you'd probably tell them they weren't black wouldn't you?

I can see the resemblance

3rd cousins is like the second to last level of cousin, yall got dam near the same level of blood as any two random people on the street, its 0.78 percent shared DNA

1st cousin is 12.5, 1st cousin once removed is half that

2nd cousin is 3.13, once removed is half that
