Yeah, I would restore the console before trading it in. If your console is in good shape, they'll easily do the $250 trade in credit. Be careful, though. If you have minor scratches and such, they might try to lower the value to $200. Don't fall for that shyt. Just go to another gamestop and trade it in. These gamestops vary. Sometimes u get real cool employees who are avid gamers and understandable, to the more corporate pos a$$holes who's all about bottom line and try to nickel and dime people.
Also, if u live in a major city, chances are that those gamestops have run out of controllers to give out. If so, ask them to knock off $60 off the console, another game at value, or store credit. There are some gamestops that will tell you tough shyt - corporate a$$holes - so go to another.
