Of course there is a way for thinking about stunting and the like but that's what luxury is about fam. Who argues that but are the dude copping pay less over nike cause they the same thing? fukk no we all like to "stunt" in our own ways and we can't a lot of people like to hit the value play card. Also of course most people that's working 9 to 5 would think a maxima is a luxury car but they wouldn't pick it over the other similar cars if given the choice. I think you know that. If you could get any car in the similar range maxima, eclass, 5 series, audi 6/7 and don't have to worry about maintenance you really think you and most people for whatever reason picking the maxima? That is moreso my view on this issue. I'm not saying the maxima is wack just saying its not a luxury car in the way luxury is looked at here.

I guess. I'm not gonna pretend that I didn't feel some kinda way when I used to whip a 911 (not a luxury car, but same "stunting" effect) but the 370z I drove years later was just as much a "sports car" as the Porsche. Same thing applies to an E-class vs a Maxima when it comes to luxury (imo).
I mean I hear what you're saying; I think it comes down to a perception about the brand more than a perception about the car itself.

Bold is basically what I'm saying and that's why a Nissan Maxima isn't going to be looked at as no luxury car even if it has the same/similar features of a real luxury car. Tbh most cars have the same features but that's not what makes them luxury that's all I'm getting at.

a maxima is by no means a luxury car, but is a great car nonetheless

Wrong.

The Maxima is pretty much an Infiniti nowadays. Infinitis are luxury, the only thing missing with the Maxima is the prestigious name. I've driven Audis since 2009. The A6 and Maxima are very comparable in my opinion. There's nothing in a A6 that you can get in a Maxima.

It's really just preference at this point. Today's Accord would be a luxury car in 2004.

I love that new Maxima...Test drove the '16 Platinum edition earlier this year and :lawd:

WOULD have been a nice upgrade in two years from my 08 3.5SE Altima but the car Gods said nah breh...Got into an accident a week ago and currently lookin' for a replacement :sadcam:

May have to settle for a '14 Malibu (:scust:) for a few years then upgrade once my kid is done with daycare :wow:...
Whats wrong with a Malibu..they look nice plus the version with 260hp is pretty quick

I loved that A8L to death. Had it for 3 years, no majors problems. Car is a TANK. Bought it with 50k miles, traded it in with 112k, so i drove it a lot. Problem is, dealers will charge you out the azz for repair just to entice you into trading it on a brand new Audi. Twice in the past year by 2 different Audi dealers quoted 5000$ for maintenance which i decline and took to indie shops and had repaired for 500$ and 1100$ this past week.

If youre going to own an older luxury car that's out of warranty, better have a great trustworthy indie shop.

I was able to trade my Audi A8l in on a brand New Maxima 37k msrp. i was upside 5k and still got it for 34k tax, tags and titles. So im happy, should have to worry about any problems for a little while. Was going to get an used A6 for around the same price.

:yeshrug:im happy with it. Me and my dads gambling buddy did the 20% tint. might throw some black wheels on it or plastic dip them.

Glad you chucked that ticking bomb into the bushes.
