Tragedy is also 1 of the best rappers currently, he's been on a great productive run. Would be in the convo as a top 30 of all time at least. The Immortal Titans album was crazy. The Mahdi Files was also ill. Trag is slept on, he is nice and way better than Nore, Nore patterned his style after Trag in some senses but he's the dumbed down version, don't mean that in a terrible way and Nore improved but he's not near the lyricist or MC Trag is. Tragedy is excellent. Very interesting character too and interesting to hear him talk, filled with history. Should respect the legends and greats while they are here.

Marley Marl basically exposed Nas for using Trag's exact rhyme scheme from 1988's "Live Motivator" on "It Ain't hard to tell" on drink champs when
he was asked why he didn't really care about signing Nas cause he had Mega/Trag aka the originals why would he be sweating a 'copy'
Marley said the Industry wanted a piece of that bridge magic so they went after Nas and he blew up what was had already been in full effect for years.....
Nas always shows Trag his respect..even when Trag (understandably) felt funny about him in general..he should be bowing down to a bunch of other emcees as well tho

Nas advanced Trag's style and killed the 80s accent. He was also added the dark shock value which Trag wasn't doing.

fukk Marley if he tried to shyt on Nas cause Nas is MUCH more than what that nikka sayin and Trag has came out and said out his own mouth that Nas is his favorite rapper. This is what Jungle was talkin bout when he said NOBODY from the hood helped Nas. Or tried to put him on but when he blew up everybody was on some jealous shyt and felt like he owed them somethin. It’s not like nikkas never heard Trag or Mega. nikkas PICKED Nas cause Nas STOOD OUT. It’s the case of just cause nikkas feel like they the man in they hood. It supposed to translate to the world when unbiased ears listen. Large Pro, Pete Rock etc loves Trag and Mega and guess who they want to work with again more than anything? Nas.

Them nikkas from the same hood. Nas was influenced by Trag the same way Trag n them was influenced by Ra and G Rap. Russell said Nas was a G Rap clone. But guess what? Do u see G Rap runnin around actin like a bytch about the millions of nikkas who got they style from him? From AZ to Big Pun.

trag basically admitted years ago that Nas while influenced by him, has a whole other unique style that he never went/took it to

Damn hearing Marly shyt on Nas like that is weird, I'll have to listen to the interview. It doesn't even make sense. Obviously Tragedy (and Rakim, and G Rap) heavily influenced Nas' style to you can't say that Nas just copied their shyt. He added to it and evolved it. Illmatic took things to another level...and then he went even farther flow-wise on IWW; let's not forget, G Rap himself said he felt Nas evolved higher on IWW.

I can see why the jealously could brew. Nas is an aloof dude. He's not the "rah rah" party guy who is gonna invite all the fellas to the bar, buy it out, and party. Nor is he the type to link up with just anyone. People see that as him being arrogant. Hell even now, you ever peep a Nas IG post and see Kid Capri begging Nas to get in the studio with him? He's been saying for over a year that he has the perfect beat for Nas, yet apparently Nas isn't reaching out lmao. That's just not who he is.

Man fukk outta here
Nas is humble n shows love. Let's not read into the bowing down thing. Nas will bow down to Too Short under the right circumstance
N some of you can't seem to make up your mind who he got his style from. From trag, to kool g, to rakim, to mega. Y'all stay flip flopping

Every artist is inspired by another artist. But the foundation of your style has to be YOU. Your post reads a lot like discrediting
