Most of that stuff was wild trash if we're keeping it 1000. Out of everyone who's done this trap shyt from like 2004 to present, Metro Boomin's shyt will age the best. Mark my words

I got a question tho? Why is it that Trap music is flourishing but Chicago Drill music kinda stagnanted. Last good drill mixtape was Free Crack 2 and Ballin like Kobe. It feels like Drill music ain't popping and yet Atlanta trap is still on top. Makes no sense. Maybe cuz these drill rappers are too busy getting killed.

Because drill is the mostly garbage Chicago version of trap except devoid of all soul and is genocidal

Word. I wasn't alive at the time but it seems like MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice were pretty much universally loathed by hip-hop heads and fellow MCs at the height of their popularity. Nowadays they'd have a brigade of dikkriders and radio hosts/DJs jocking them because they got money.
