Pick up as much Spanish as you can, at least the basics i.e. direction, streets, locations, things (nouns), a few verbs.

If you have a smartphone, install Google Translate. Download the full app to your phone. That will help a bit.

Install WhatsApp too. That is very popular overseas. You can keep in contact with your foreign friends using that app as well.

If you book flights in advance you can get them for cheap.

You def need money for travelling though, but also depends on where you going.
