Dexter strickland use to post on ahh
@Basaglia killing yall with facts in here. I'm tired of this lame narrative that duke players don't get to or do well in the league when we have the most players in the league, highest salary, etc, etc. Not everyone is going to be a star, but producing guys who are league ready/mature/professional and primed to have long/lucrative careers? no one is touching duke/coach K in that regard.
Should have went to Zona. Duke will work out well for him though.
How many HS stars need to go to Duke only to underachieve in the pros for people to throw that Coach K system to the bushes?
Yeah I know.
Bbbbut Kyrie and Grant....
I was thinking Seton Hall or UK could've been good spots for him too. But the pg spot at Duke is wide open so he should be able to put in work there
If you leave early before Coach K can Duke up your game you'll be good. Anyone who stays longer for 2 years rarely becomes a good pro. Coach K turned Chris Duhon, Seth Curry, and Sean Dockery to complete roll players. Seth is just now starting to break out of it
Unless he's an aggressive 6'10 low post player, I don't see them being better than last years team
Damn they really kicked Thornton for Frank Jackson only to force him to the draft for Duval. This one and done recruiting game is serious af. Either you get with the program or get lost.

Again, Nolan was a 6-2 off guard who got drafted in the first round, low 20s. Where else is that happening?
And Dex was considered the star of that team and BETTER than Ky and MKG. Just because he fell off that don't mean he wasn't highly thought of previously. He was ranked ahead of Wall for fukk's sake.
RSCIhoops
And I am eternally grateful Duke didn't get Boynton. We'd be blame for him being trash, too. Leslie McDonald, too.
Alternate Facts. Dexter was never considered the star of St. Pats, once Kyrie came in the picture and MKG was the top dog since the 8th grade. Ranked ahead of Wall? Wall who? ESPN: #5 Top PG Strickland: #27 Seventh ranked SG.
Scout: Wall # 2 Top PG Strickland #33 8th ranked SG
Rivals: Wall #1 player in the nation. Strickland: #34 9th SG
So quick rundown. Kyrie: Top PG. MKG: Top player Strickland: 7th/8th/9th. Again, Strick was the man Freshman to early Junior year. As soon as Kyrie came, his star dropped. Like this is what I do. I've been covering these kids for a while now. I just was in Atlanta for the Nike EYBL session, and I'll be at Pangos All-American Camp in a few weeks. I'm going to switch to the Adidas Circuit after.
Back to the topic because I don't know why we're talking about bums. @funkee: Plenty of what I said about Duke in the college thread ended up being right on the money, especially when it came to Tatum/Giles. You nikkas turned this to Duke versus the world, when I said this is an issue everywhere. Trevon is the truth, but you're going to see. I'm done with this topic.
you really think they're getting Bambayou about to be disappointed again
Carter has yet to show me anything
Bruh, you so in a rush to be right, you ant even bother looking at the 2009 pre-summer and summer rankings when Dex was highly rated...even above John Wall by some.

fukk what you heard, all that matters is Jalek bout to be the best guard in the conference. Quote me on that.
