Can't knock him for the yardage, up 20-3 at the half and Carolina never showed a pulse. Just sat on them the entire 2nd half and ended up with 200 yards rushing.The Jags won but it was the Panthers and Lawrence only threw for 178 yards.
The one drafted at #1 a year before him but still no all-pro, OPOY or MVPs. And the way it was looking yesterday. With both lines being weak, it’s gonna take some time
Burrow or Luck seemed like my first thoughts but like you said Luck was very good and never really had a good line but didn’t seem transcendent either
I think someone labeled generational should be that player who has a skill set or athletic talent rarely seen. Not just someone who is great.
Tom Brady was a great player. He was not what I’d call a generational talent.
Michael Vick was a generational player.
Barry Sanders was a generational player.
Who else would I put in that category? To some degree Reggie Bush. Probably Derrick Thomas?
Andrew Luck lived up to the hype. Took a 2-14 team and went 11-5 his rookie year
Vick was a generational talent but not a generational player. Barry Sanders is the perfect answer. He was a generational talent AND player. Tbh Adrian Peterson was both too IMO

A generational player without generational talent is merely your typical great player.
When I hear generational talent I think natural God given ability. What you’re born with.
When I hear generational player i think legacy. The impact you left on the game when its all said and done.

The term was over used and abused.
The term generational is extremely overused. In terms of the QB's I've seen that term used the most for over the past fifteen years or so, I would say it's Luck, Lawrence, and Williams are the three.
Luck just had a horrible offensive-line and bad luck with injuries. He had the talent, but you can't do anything when you're getting hit every play like he was.
