Well why aren't they like that when it came to Jewish and Japanese people recieving reparations? Why were they understanding of them recieving reparations? Why weren't they all in their business? Really reparations for ados is nobody else's business but ours. It don't matter if you black or not. If you are not a American decedent of slavery then you shouldn't be even sticking your nose in our business in the first place. We don't need your $0.02. Keep it to yourself and especially if you got something negative to say about it. Foh. Everybody soooo scared we go get a check and be balling out buying land and starting and owning all kinds of businesses. It burns they souls to think ados getting reparations will become a reality. Notice when the white dude asked the question he was talking about social ills not reparations for slavery. Noah had to steer him to the point of reparations. The easiest way to stop them from muddying the issue to be clear about the point of the reparations and kill the argument about why everyone is owed some kind of reparations.

Why would I be against reparations?

They are scared. That's why everybody panicking. And the best way to explain reparations for ados is bringing up Jewish and Japanese people recieving reparations. If you understand why they recieved reparations and have no problem with it then you should understand why ados will receive reparations in a form of a check or cash payouts. And no America will not reset but the wealth gap will be closed and that's a big deal. Also people need to understand that America has admitted that it owes ados reparations.

This is the kind of well reasoned, sober and persuasive discourse that is needed to win support for reparations in the public arena. The over the top, foaming at the mouth, shrill voices of Yvette are ain't it.

This is the position I have held (whether I think reparations are likely or not) since before #ADOS became a thing. I made an analogy a long time ago on this board where I said if you were to shrink the experience of black people in America into one 24 hour period, black people would find themselves as slaves or second class citizens 22 out of those 24 hours and this is the reason why socio-economic metrics in the black community are behind those of the white community. Even in present times when racial discrimination is not codified by law, black people still face real obstacles due to race. Back then I was using "we" as the pronoun because I saw no reason to separate myself from the AA struggle.

The division we see online now between ADOS and Non ADOS is the result of gas lighting done by Youtube personalities for whatever reasons (some more nefarious than others). I hope that division can be put to a stop at some point and we can get back to attacking the real enemy.
