I've heard Gavin Newsom's name being thrown around, I dunno. He may come off as a coastal liberal elitist when we need a progressive champion of the people (Elizabeth Warren, Sherrod Brown, Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders). .

i mean im just tryna think of who they should run, because i really have no fukkin ideaYou guys are nuts, no offense, if you think Gavin Newsom would be a great candidate for president in 2020. Don't get me wrong, I like him as a politician, but the republicans are going to rip him a new a$$hole based off his scandals including the affair.
What you guys are forgetting is that Donald Trump in spite of HIS scandals, he spoke to White American with White supremacist ideologies. Gavin is so far to the left, he would not appeal to Rust Belt and Bible Belt voters.

lets get past the fact that you all think i'm a piece of shyt
i want a democrat to win in 2020. can we agree that ideologically and, lets face it, image-wise....not the worst pick we could throw out there?
Lol@Gavin Newsome's American Psycho-looking ass talking to heartland, rustbelt and southern white voters.
Maher means well but he's disconnected.
Trump's an elite new yorker and he pulled it offthing is, we have to go somewhat republican lite. its a stepping stone. the country just elected trump, they arent just gonna go to a bernie next cycleright?

Trump is a loudmouthed lizard-brained fake tough guy jagoff racist cac. He can relate to that demographic even if it's only to con them.Trump's an elite new yorker and he pulled it off
Didn't Hilary '2nd worst candidate in years' Clinton just lose to Donald 'worst candidate ever' Trump, by narrow margins electorally, and receive more of the popular vote? Why would the democrats need to completely re-tool? Hilary was one of the most un charismatic foot in the mouth/too stubborn to apologize/not personable candidate we've seen, and she barely/lost/won. No need to completely re-tool.

This is the same shyt they tried to sell Hillary on. GFTOWTBS
The election night electoral vote was 306 Trump to 232 Clinton. The Electoral College vote was 304 Trump to 227 Clinton. That's not a small loss, it's a washout. Democrats have got to stop kissing the Clintons' asses and start paying attention to what the American public is saying.
. Personally, I would go a completely different route but that's just me. The democrats have just a big of an issue in state politics as they do in federal. They need candidates that can win Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin (Rust Belt areas), which means talking about bringing back manufacturing jobs and sticking it to Wall Street/corporation/the establishment. Hillary won the popular vote, but that's mainly due to noncompetitive states like California and New York.![]()
