I Can only image how Brock's run would have gone if not for the real brand split back in the day....

It’s a shame that Rock really couldn’t make it work, because around this time last year, going into the Chamber, the Final Boss was on the cusp of being an all-time wrestling character. The megalomania, the deeply seated, visceral, and personal hatred for Rhodes -- territory that the character never explored before. The corruption of one of the biggest babyfaces in Cena -- all of it was some real cinematic stuff before Hollywood and corporate meddling ruined everything. :francis:
i agree

the Rock effectively retiring the Final Boss character on the Netflix debut instead of:

Ramping up the Roman/Rock tension then finally taking up the Ula Fala on the Netflix debut and attacking Roman for his loss at WM40. Especially since Rock kept his word and pinned Cody on Night 1 and Roman lost focus due to Seth Rollins.

Rock continuing to mess with Cody Rhodes via fukkery either directly or through the Bloodline and other wrestlers he gave extra money/perks to ala Austin/Vince.

The Final Boss character was leading to matches like Roman vs Rock or Rock vs Cody (I dont think both matches happen cuz I dont see Rock losing to both of them). In fact Roman vs Rock could've been Rock's retirement match where he loses to Roman and fulfills his in ring obligations. The Final Boss character could've still been effective as heel management without having to feel pressured to wrestle or try to set up matches around his increasingly busy schedule.

a real shame it couldnt work when I was looking forward to how Rock retaliated after WM40 thinking Roman vs Rock was the endgame.

It shouldn’t be a mania match but it’s big 4 worthy
Roman vs Cody 3
Roman vs Seth
Roman vs Punk
Roman vs Jacob
Roman vs Bron
Roman vs Bronson Reed
Roman vs Gunther

These MFs on crack wanting to save everything for Mania :snoop:

Never did the Roman vs Orton 1 v 1 either :dead:

WWE fans are "pop" addicts. :snoop: Like nothing else matters to 95% of the WWE IWC.

It's like a movie with only explosions and horrible dialogue.
Bingo, One great moment is not worth the weeks of boredom you have endure. The Bianca/Naomi/Jade stuff was legit must see every week, then banana nose decided protecting Rhea was more important than the big 3 payoff.

He could make it work, I still think he just ended it as a final FU move towards HHH. The Final Boss gimmick is still an all timer simply off the beatdown in the rain he gave Cody. If Rock decides to ever return as a face then it needs to be more 2000/01 face and not the pandering one we've been getting, because his last 2 heel runs were much better than all of his returns since 2011.
