It's not the length of the title reigns, it's the fact that the champs get the strap and then do NOTHING. Dom won the IC title and had fans going crazy just for him to not have a single promo in the middle of the ring since winning the belt. Just a bunch of dumb backstage segments with the stale Judgement Day.

Nothing Dom has done since Wrestlemania has necessitated him being IC Champion since then. He was out of the ring for 2 months while champ living in backstage vortex and only defended the belt 5 times total. That hasn’t served him since he’s no more over than he was in April, it hasn’t served the midcard since they’ve been running in place instead of having something to fight for and it hasn’t served the belt, which increased in esteem since HHH took over and now back to what it was. So when the long reign harms a little in multiple ways, that makes up a cancer. I can type the same thing about Tiffany only she’s notably declined as a star while champion

HHH thinks just having it for ___ days is enough and it’s not. When Dom got hurt in June it was perfect time for another younger guy to take the belt off him and kick off a rivalry, or have Penta or AJ win it and make the match at Summerslam have some type of juice to it. No title reign gonna mean anything for length alone unless they’re world champ for 1,000 days and now Roman is trying to stop them.
